通知/告示类应用文
告示类应用文的标题非常重要,要求点名告示的主旨,一般为词组性短语,基本结构如:名词+过去分词,如:Contributions Wanted(征稿启事),Child Lost(寻子启事);现在分词+名词,如:Looking for a Spouse(征婚启事),Exchanging House(换房启事);介词结构,如:Conditions for Car Rental(租车注意事项),Notice of Dismissal(免职通知),Notice of a Decision(决定通知),Christmas Clearance Sales(圣诞清仓大甩卖)等.
再则,告示类应用文的时态一般用现在时或将来时,也可以用现在进行时表示近期即将发生的事情.
告示类应用文如通知、启事、便条等常用以下句型开头:

EnglishSpeaking Contest
In order to improve students ability to speak English and enrich afterclass activities, the Students Union Department of English is organizing a schoolwide Englishspeaking contest to be held on Saturday next week (8th September) at the Students Recreational Center.
