在考研英语阅读的失分原因中，有很大一部分原因是因为被其中的错误选项所迷惑。为了帮助考生们在这方面少失分或不失分，新祥旭考研特为考生们提供一些错误选项。

　　【典型例题 1】

　　【原文】5 ③Their work makes a rather startling assertion: the trait we commonly call talent is highly overrated.

　　【题目】24. Ericsson and his colleagues believe that

　　【选项】[C] the role of talent tends to be overlooked.

　　【分析】本题题干在问“Ericsson和他的同事认为______”.根据关键词可以定位到第五段第三句话，即他们的著作做出了一个相当惊人的论断：我们通常所谓的人才的特征被高估了。文中用的是“overrated”是高估，而C选项用的是“overlooked”即“忽略”。很显然在语义上是不一致的。

　　【典型例题 2】

　　【原文】3③“Their capacity for tolerating stress may even be greater than men’s,”

　　【题目】22. Dr. Yehuda’s research suggests that women

　　【选项】[B] have limited capacity for tolerating stress.

　　【分析】本题题干在问“Yehuda博士的研究表明女性______”。根据关键词Yehuda可以定位到第三段第三句话，即女性在忍受压力方面比男性更大。而B选项却说，女性在忍受压力方面的能力是有限的。原文中是一个比较的关系，而选项却变成了修饰的关系。很显然在语义上是不对等的。

　　【原文】7 ①The current emphasis on standardized testing highlights analysis and procedure, meaning that few of us inherently use our innovative and collaborative modes of thought. ②"This breaks the major rule in the American belief system — that anyone can do anything," ③"That's a lie that we have perpetuated, and it fosters commonness.

　　【题目】25. Ryan’s comments suggest that the practice of standard testing ________.

　　【选项】

　　[B] no longer emphasizes commonness

　　[C] maintains the inherent American thinking model

　　[D] complies with the American belief system

　　【分析】题干在问“Ryan的评论表明标准化测试的推行________”。根据关键词Ryan和standard testing可以定位到第七段。B选项“不再强调平庸”，第七段第三句后半部分，出现了 it fosters commonness，即人无所不能这个主要规则滋生了人的平庸。虽然文中出现了commonness，但它前面的动词和动词的发出者都与选项不一致。C选项的“maintain”是维持，而文中第二句则用的是“break the major rule”.把动词给偷换掉了。D选项的“complies with”同样和文中的“break”不一致。

　　考研英语出题老师在设置错误选项时，会利用文中已有的词汇来设置障眼法，会让大家误以为信息是一致的，其实已经把周围词的含义偷换掉了。
