Study the following photos carefully and write an essay of 160~200 words in which you should
1. describe the photos briefly,
2. interpret the social phenomenon reflected by them, and
3. give your point of view.
You should write 160-200 words neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. (20 points)
You should write neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. (20 points)
1. describe the photos briefly,
2. interpret the social phenomenon reflected by them,
3. give your point of view

Here are two pictures, both interesting and with similar implication. As is vividly depicted in the first photo, a young man writes the name of Beckham on his face, which successfully captures our eyes. In the same way, the second picture describes that another teenager is spending 300 Yuan doing Beckham’s fashionable hairstyle in a barbershop, finally completing the comparison of the two pictures. Apparently, what the two drawings have subtly conveyed by their analogy is supposed to be given further analysis.
What might account for this problem? For my part, the following two are of utmost importance. To begin with, it is universally admitted that the general public have failed to realize the harmfulness of blind idolatry and a big part of their attention has been distracted by the so-called “great events”. So long as you regard this analysis reasonable, I may go further. Another special consideration in this case is that our education tends to stress test-taking and mechanical learning, over the ability to confront realistic problems, including how to worship stars rationally. No other case can better illustrate the fallout of what I have discussed than the picture above.
On the basis of the analysis above, it is advisable for us to take steps to reverse this evil trend. Of all the steps, to appeal to mass media may be the most effective one. Only in this way can we resolve this problem and embrace a brighter future.
